Good Movie!

Posted : 17 years, 3 months ago on 1 January 2007 11:10 (A review of Eragon)

I just saw this movie in the theater today about 2 hours ago! I enjoyed it sooo much. It made me think of Anne McCaffrey's Dragonrider series, but I would like to read the books! I'm actually looking them up on the library website RIGHT NOW :D It's worth seeing, but leaves itself open to sequels.

A little too much

Posted : 17 years, 3 months ago on 31 December 2006 06:49 (A review of Silk and Secrets)

I think that this book had great potential, but I didn't realize it was going to be a murder mystery. I don't enjoy mysteries (got that out of my system after reading the entire Agatha Christie, Nancy Drew, and Hardy Boys collections) and it took so much away from the love story, that it was pretty much predictable.

A Moment in Time review

Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 23 December 2006 02:50 (A review of A Moment in Time)

This book had great potential, but tended to start going in one direction, then change back over and over. I really didn't enjoy the ending at all . . the Epilogue was entirely too much detail about things I didn't think mattered.

Beloved review

Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 16 December 2006 02:56 (A review of Beloved)

Very good book, thought it was a little over-detailed sometimes, but I don't like details of war. Lots of twists, but a very predictible ending. Got caught up in the story a lot, but ended up getting bored when was slammed with minute details of the wars/etc.

A Memory of Love review

Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 14 December 2006 01:16 (A review of A Memory of Love)

Very good book - keeps you involved, other than the extra twist . . . I'm used to a hero and heroine, who get seperated or overcome something and then are forever happy . . . she pulls another suprise in this one!

Audio book

Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 11 December 2006 06:52 (A review of The Magic of You (Malory Series))

I'm listening to the audiobook version, and the lady who reads it talks WAY too fast. Half of the story is lost in the abridging, and the other half in her slur of words!

Such a Great Book!

Posted : 17 years, 4 months ago on 1 December 2006 10:46 (A review of Touch of Enchantment)

I am not someone who likes time travel romances, but I do like magic. This book was AWESOME! I'm going to go out and get the rest of this author's books. It's a clever mix of time travel, witchcraft, and the good ol historical romance I love! I couldn't put it down!

Nose Issues

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 21 November 2006 10:32 (A review of The Marriage Test)

This book could have been great if there wasn't a big deal about the main hero having a smelling problem, and the heroine being a cook of fine renoun. The storyline could have been good but picturing the hero with a nose plug just didn't do it for me!

I loved it!

Posted : 17 years, 5 months ago on 19 November 2006 01:38 (A review of Wild Jasmine)

This book kept me reading for a day and a half until I finished it! It isn't the first in the series, but it's soooo good that I reserved EVERY BOOK BY THIS AUTHOR at the library!~
